Job summary

Complete Laboratory Solutions (CLS) in Limerick with a focus on contract microbiology services is seeking a dynamic Microbiology Lab Supervisor. You will oversee daily operations, lead a team of microbiologists, and ensure testing meets quality, GMP, and ISO standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Microbiology or related field required.
• 5+ years of experience in a microbiology lab.
• Strong knowledge of GMP, ISO standards, and regulatory compliance in pharmaceutical or medical device industry.
• Experience leading teams, managing lab processes, and ensuring quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the microbiology lab, ensuring testing is completed accurately and on time.
• Lead, train, and mentor a team of microbiologists.
• Ensure all laboratory activities comply with GMP and ISO standards.
• Manage scheduling, resource allocation, and prioritization of testing to meet deadlines.
• Conduct performance reviews and develop training plans for the team.
• Oversee environmental monitoring, sterility and bioburden testing per SOPs.
• Lead investigations into out-of-specification results; implement CAPA.
• Collaborate with Quality, Production, and R&D to align project goals.
• Ensure equipment is maintained and calibrated per regulatory standards.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and drive continuous improvement.
