Job summary

Ramboll is seeking an Associate/Principal Mechanical Engineer to lead mechanical design for data centre projects with a flexible location across UK, Germany and Nordics. You will guide and review work, coordinate with electrical teams, and ensure high-quality, sustainable mechanical systems for cooling, ventilation, automation and controls.

Qualifications

• Qualified engineer with a proven track record in their discipline.
• Experience with mission critical systems within datacentre or similar industries.
• IEng or CEng status achieved or in progress.
• Excellent communicator with ability to simplify complex concepts.
• Interest in digital and parametric design tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Ramboll representation on Datacentre projects and manage engineers from a complementary discipline.
• Drive project delivery with minimal supervision on technical aspects of the discipline.
• Use design production tools to develop solutions (CAD, Bluebeam; collaborate with BIM technicians).
• Complete detailed designs and supervise others in this function.
• Inspire confidence internally and with clients to strengthen relationships and deliver timelines.
