Job summary

Greystar is seeking a maintenance role in Cork to oversee daily upkeep, safety, and facilities operations across the community. You will manage work orders, coordinate with contractors, and maintain high cleanliness and appearance standards in line with Greystar practices.

The position requires experience in residential maintenance, knowledge of risk assessments, and the ability to supervise external teams. On-site work with potential on-call duties and growth opportunities within Greystar.

Qualifications

• General education up to O Level/GCSE with written and numerical skills.
• Electrical/mechanical engineering or plumbing qualification (NVQ/City Guilds) or equivalent.
• Knowledge of building repair trades, purchasing procedures, and janitorial painting/repair.
• Health and safety awareness including manual handling and site risks.
• Commitment to continuous learning to improve knowledge and abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assigns and completes work orders from resident requests and performs routine upkeep.
• Oversees turnover process for pre move-out inspections and schedules contractors.
• Sets standards for cleanliness and appearance reflecting Greystar quality.
• Periodically inspects work and develops corrective actions as needed.
• Maintains inventory of spare parts and coordinates supplies within budget.
• Carries out preventive maintenance plans (PPM) and safety checks.
• On-call availability to respond to emergencies and coordinate solutions.
