Job summary

woodstonpersonnel is seeking an experienced and patient-focused Family Doctor/General Practitioner to join our primary care team in Carlow. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a GP with extensive experience in the Irish healthcare system to lead the delivery of high-quality patient-centred care.

Key responsibilities include managing a chronic disease management programme and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to support the community-based healthcare services. A competitive salary between €114,200 and €135,000 per annum is offered, along with ongoing professional development support.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years' post-training experience working within Irish General Practice.
• Fully eligible to provide services under the General Medical Services (GMS) Scheme.
• Demonstrated experience managing GMS patient populations.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive, evidence-based primary care services to GMS and private patients.
• Lead the practice's HSE Chronic Disease Management Programme.
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Participate in clinical governance and quality improvement activities.
