Job summary

Panametrics is seeking a Lead Firmware Engineer to design, prototype, and certify next‑generation industrial sensing systems. You will lead firmware work with cross‑functional teams, develop and validate embedded software on ARM targets, and ensure code quality through automation.

The role requires 5+ years of embedded C/C++ experience, familiarity with Linux/QNX Neutrino or μC/OS, and collaboration with product teams across engineering, manufacturing and services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
• 5+ years’ experience with developing embedded C/C++ on ARM targets.
• Hands-on with Git, SVN and debugging techniques.
• Experience with industrial product design and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead design activities and break down work packages for the firmware team.
• Develop software/firmware, validate and maintain embedded systems.
• Collaborate with Product Specialists and Product Managers to derive system requirements.
• Cross-platform C/C++ development and code quality automation.
