Job summary

Mastercard's Services Technology organization seeks a DevOps Principal Engineer for the Decision Management Program (DMP), a real-time decisioning platform powering fraud prevention, risk scoring, and identity verification across the global payments network.

You will design and operate high-volume, low-latency cloud and on-prem infrastructure, build and optimize CI/CD pipelines, contribute to IaC with Terraform and CloudFormation, and drive observability with Prometheus, Grafana, and Splunk.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in Software Engineering and DevOps roles.
• Experience leading technical teams and programs.
• Strong Linux systems administration background.
• Hands-on coding and automation experience required.
• Proficiency with AWS and cloud/infrastructure tooling.
• Deep knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and IaC practices.
• Familiar with monitoring/observability platforms and container orchestration.
• Proficiency in Bash, Python, and Java.

Responsibilities

• Architect, provision, and manage cloud and on-prem infra for high-volume systems.
• Design, implement, and optimize CI/CD pipelines for safe, fast delivery.
• Collaborate with R&D to design scalable, low-latency architectures.
• Champion Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and CloudFormation.
• Drive observability with Prometheus, Grafana, Druid, Splunk, Loki.
• Lead DevOps initiatives and mentor global engineering teams.
• Ensure uptime, deployment velocity, and cost efficiency across data centres.
