Job summary

Fulcrum Digital Inc. seeks an innovative Data Engineer to lead the design and development of an Analytic Foundation and data platform. You will collaborate with product and design teams to create scalable analytics APIs and robust data models, delivering insights from a central data store.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years in full-stack engineering, strong Python/Scala skills, and hands-on experience with Spark/Hadoop ecosystems, cloud platforms, and data pipelines.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of full stack engineering experience in an agile production environment.
• Experience leading the design and implementation of large, complex features in full-stack applications.
• Ability to easily move between business, data management, and technical teams; identify technical solutions to enable the business use case.
• Experience leveraging open source tools, predictive analytics, ML, and other data techniques for analyses.
• High proficiency in Python or Scala; Spark, Hadoop platforms & tools; SQL to build Big Data products.
• Experience building/ deploying production-level data-driven applications and data pipelines; ML systems at scale in Java, Scala, or Python.
• Experience in cloud technologies like Databricks/AWS/Azure.
• Strong technologist with ability to learn new technologies.
• Passion for analytical/quantitative problem solving.
• Experience identifying improvements to development processes.
• Collaboration skills across roles and geographies.
• Motivation, creativity, self-direction, and thriving on small teams.
• Degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
