Job summary

Pivotal Recruitment Limited is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor for a Cork-based construction project. The role focuses on commercial and financial management, working with the project team to ensure strong commercial performance throughout the lifecycle.

The successful candidate will mentor junior team members, manage cashflow forecasting, cost monitoring and procurement activities, and collaborate with clients and subcontractors to deliver value.

Qualifications

• This role requires at least five years in Quantity Surveying or a similar commercial role within construction.
• Degree or qualification in Quantity Surveying or equivalent is required.
• Strong experience in commercial management of construction projects and contracts.

Responsibilities

• Lead commercial aspects of the project and manage cashflow forecasting.
• Mentor junior surveyors and support the project team.
• Develop commercial strategies with the Commercial Manager and project team.
• Oversee cost monitoring, reporting and tender analysis.
• Lead subcontract procurement, sub-contractor packages and payments.
