Job summary

OpenText in Cork, Ireland, is seeking a Lead Cloud Application Engineer to ensure the reliability and operational excellence of our cloud services. You will automate deployments, manage application lifecycles, monitor health, and drive improvements across DevOps, security, and support teams.

You will collaborate with globally distributed engineering, infrastructure, and security groups, applying modern automation frameworks and IaC tools to deliver scalable, secure enterprise applications.

Qualifications

• Experience in application operations, cloud operations, DevOps, SRE, or a similar technical environment.
• Experience deploying, maintaining, upgrading, and supporting enterprise applications in cloud or virtualized environments.
• Understanding of software architecture and Microsoft technologies, including .NET, C#, SQL, and Azure.
• Hands-on experience with automation and Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as PowerShell, Ansible, Terraform, or similar.
• Experience with monitoring, observability, and operational support tools such as New Relic, Zabbix, Nagios, PRTG, or equivalent platforms.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills, with knowledge of networking concepts, load balancing, clustering, and service availability best practices.

Your impact

As a Lead Cloud Application Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining the reliability, availability, and operational excellence of OpenText cloud services. You will play a key role in automating software deployments, managing application lifecycles, monitoring service health, and driving continuous improvement across our cloud platforms. Working closely with development, infrastructure, security, and support teams, you will help ensure our services remain stable, scalable, and secure while contributing to a DevSecOps-driven operating model.
