Job summary

St James's Hospital in Dublin is seeking a Clinical Nurse Manager II: Clinical Research Nurse in Cancer to coordinate a defined portfolio of oncology trials from set-up through archiving and to ensure recruitment targets are met. You will lead a research team, uphold GCP standards, and drive high-quality clinical research within a multi-regulated environment.

The post requires a CNM I level track record, post-registration clinical trial experience, and postgraduate oncology/haematology nursing

Qualifications

Registered Nurse with NMBI, eligible to register in Ireland.
Minimum 5 years post-registration experience in an acute hospital or relevant clinical area within the last 7 years.
Demonstrated management experience in the last 2 years.
Minimum 1 year experience in clinical trial coordination within a research team.
At least 1 year at CNM I level showing organisational and management skills.
Completed Good Clinical Practice Course (ICH GCP E6R3).

Responsibilities

Coordinate a defined group of clinical trials from set-up to archiving.
Deliver care within regulatory approved clinical trial protocols (GCP).
Lead and delegate trial-related activities to research team members.
Arrange and facilitate clinical trial meetings and governance.
Develop and maintain professional knowledge and practice via mandatory training.
