Job summary

The Senior Cardiac Physiologist role at Letterkenny University Hospital, part of HSE West North West, focuses on developing and supporting Cardiac Diagnostic Services. Qualifications

• Carry out and report transthoracic echocardiograms to a high standard.
• Proficient in ECG performance, interpretation and reporting.
• Perform stress testing and analysis per established protocols.
• Be competent in handling pacemaker and device reports.
• Work under supervision and develop junior staff as needed.
• Maintain documentation and comply with governance standards.

Responsibilities

• Support Cardiac Diagnostic Service development and operation.
• Manage own caseload and coordinate with the Chief Cardiac Physiologist.
• Perform and report procedures including TTE and TOE as required.
• Participate in patient care, history taking and form interpretation.
• Engage in risk management, quality improvement and training.
