Job summary

Sigmar Recruitment is representing a leading Dublin-based building contractor recruiting a Building Services Engineer for a €100 million residential project. You will oversee HVAC, electrical, plumbing and fire safety installations, lead an engineering team, and manage sub-contractors to ensure on-time, on-spec delivery.

The role requires strong knowledge of mechanical or electrical services, with a pathway to lead commissioning and handover including O&M and As-Built documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience in building services for M&E contractors, main contractors or building services consultancies.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical or electrical building services.

Responsibilities

• Monitor performance of technical services contractors and hold progress meetings.
• Review design progress and liaise with design team to resolve quality and progress issues.
• Ensure benchmarking and quality control processes are implemented.
• Attend weekly team meetings to report on installation status.
• Attend monthly meetings to contribute to operations reports.
• Provide technical support to construction managers for site installation.
• Conduct regular site inspections and issue corrective actions.
• Oversee creation of O&M manuals and As-Built information.
• Lead commissioning programs and witness schedules.
• Coordinate design team and building control inspections.
• Track information flow and highlight risks to project manager.
