Job summary

HD McKay is expanding its Architectural team in Letterkenny, Ireland, delivering residential, commercial and public-sector projects. Hybrid/remote options may be considered for the right candidate, with mentorship and progression opportunities within a collaborative, multi-disciplinary practice.

You will lead design delivery, coordinate with engineers and contractors, and ensure compliance with planning, BCAR and safety standards, while developing outputs across all work stages and supporting

Qualifications

• Degree in Architecture and chartered/RIAlite status or equivalent
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Ireland
• Proficiency in Revit preferred; AutoCAD desirable
• Full clean driving licence and ability to travel as needed
• Understanding of BCAR and Planning Regulations

Responsibilities

• Lead design and delivery of residential and commercial projects from concept to post-occupancy
• Develop design outputs across all RIAI work stages
• Prepare presentations, drawings, and documentation for clients and stakeholders
• Facilitate client and consultant meetings to support progress
• Ensure compliance with planning, building regulations, and health & safety standards
• Prepare planning applications, BCAR docs, and other submissions
• Review contractor submissions and conduct site inspections
• Engage in CPD, training, and professional development
