Job summary

Ryanair is seeking a Lead Aircraft Delivery Engineer to oversee the delivery program on site in Seattle, USA. The role reports to the Fleet Development Manager and requires coordinating with Boeing, suppliers, and regulatory bodies to ensure timely and compliant aircraft deliveries.

The successful candidate will have strong analytical skills, experience with Boeing 737, and the ability to operate at senior management levels within Ryanair. Visa sponsorship is available if required.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee delivery aircraft inspections: systems, engines, structures, electrics and avionics, interiors, paint.
  • Maintain tracking of onsite inspection activity.
  • Review aircraft delivery documentation, legal and technical.
  • Liaise with Boeing and suppliers to resolve quality issues.
  • Coordinate acceptance and integration of new deliveries into the fleet.
  • Engage with Boeing personnel to ensure quality and schedules.
  • Review production changes and related documentation.
  • Manage Seattle-based delivery operations and ferry flights.

Description

Ryanair is currently recruiting for a Lead Aircraft Delivery Engineer to join Europe’s largest airline group.

Reporting directly to our Fleet Development Manager, the Lead Aircraft Delivery Engineer will oversee Ryanair’s delivery program on site in Seattle, USA. Should you require a visa, this will be provided for you.

With a current fleet of over 650 aircraft and plans to grow to 800 by 2034, this is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in our expansion.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Oversee delivery aircraft inspections: systems, engines, structures, electrics and avionics, interiors, paint.
  • Maintain Ryanair’s system for tracking and recording onsite inspection activity.
  • Review aircraft delivery documentation, legal and technical.
  • Liaise and negotiate with Boeing contracts personnel and suppliers to resolve quality discrepancies and warranty commitments on production defects.
  • Work with Ryanair Technical Services on acceptance and integration of new aircraft deliveries into the existing fleet, including timely delivery of required documentation.
  • Build relationships with Boeing personnel at all levels & hold them accountable to build quality and scheduling.
  • Review and communicate significant aircraft changes including Master Changes and Production Revision Records.
  • Administrative and logistical management of Seattle-based activities, personnel and accommodations to ensure efficient operation of the delivery and ferry flight program.
Requirements
  • At least 3 years of experience working in an airline environment.
  • Knowledge and experience of Boeing 737 aircraft.
  • Experience working with Boeing, lessors and national aviation authorities is highly desirable.
  • Sound understanding of the requirements for registering an aircraft on the Irish, Maltese or Polish register.
  • Excellent planning skills with the ability to quickly analyse problems and implement practical solutions.
  • Ability to effectively and credibly operate at the highest management levels in Ryanair.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills with competence in delivering details and facts to upper management.
  • Ability to obtain a US Visa if required.
