Job summary

Tottoria Trading Limited in Ireland seeks a Mandarin and ESL language teacher to plan and deliver language classes for international students. The role focuses on developing speaking, listening, reading and writing skills and preparing learners for relevant language examinations.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Linguistics/Teaching Chinese as a Second/Foreign Language or related field.
• TESOL or CELTA qualification in English Language teaching.
• Certificate of Accreditation in Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language.
• 1+ years experience teaching Mandarin Chinese and/or ESL.

Job Description

Mandarin and English as a Second Language (ESL) Language Teacher. The teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering Mandarin Chinese and English as a Second Language (ESL) language classes to international students and learners of different language levels. The role involves developing students’ speaking, listening, reading and writing skills, preparing students for relevant language examinations, assessing language proficiency and progress, providing feedback, and adapting lessons and teaching materials to meet learners’ individual needs. The teacher will also support students from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds and contribute to the development of language-learning resources and programmes.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

• Undergraduate degree in Linguistics /Teaching Chinese as a Second/Foreign Language, or a related field
• TESOL or CELTA qualification in English Language teaching
• Certificate of Accreditation in Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language
• 1+ Years experience teaching Mandarin Chinese and/or English as a Second Language
• 1+ Years experience teaching Mandarin Chinese in a classroom setting
• Experience teaching international students and learners from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds

Preferred Qualifications

• Masters of Education or an equivalent postgraduate qualification related to teaching Mandarin or English
