Job summary

ALS Minerals in Ireland invites motivated individuals to join as General Laboratory Operators at our Loughrea hub, with immediate start. You will follow safe practices, handle samples, operate equipment, and assist with quality checks under supervision.

No extensive previous laboratory experience is required as full training is provided; candidates must have secondary education and be willing to work in a structured ISO 17025 environment. ALS is an equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Full or partial secondary education with the ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
• No prior laboratory experience required; training provided.
• Willingness to work in a safety-conscious environment in a laboratory setting.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety rules and practices at all times.
• Wear protective equipment specified for each task.
• Advise Supervisor if you see anything suspicious or potentially hazardous.
• Perform work as assigned by Laboratory Manager or supervisor; report completion.
• Follow written methods; if unavailable follow oral instructions from management.
• Check and maintain order of samples; report deviations to supervisor.
• Handle samples to preserve identification; report accidents.
• Monitor quality of work; note anomalies and report.
• Operate equipment per manuals; check calibration daily or before use; report anomalies.
• Complete required records per ISO 17025 and INAB requirements.
