Job summary

ALS Minerals, with its European hub lab in Loughrea, Co. Galway, is seeking General Laboratory Operators. The role involves following safety rules, handling samples with care, and recording data accurately as part of ISO 17025 compliance.

Generally, no extensive prior lab experience is required since full training is provided; the successful candidate will work under supervision and contribute to quality control and routine equipment upkeep in a dynamic laboratory environment.

Qualifications

• General training provided; prior laboratory experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety rules and wear protective equipment at all times.
• Adhere to written procedures; report any issues or deviations to supervision.
• Maintain sample identification and keep the workspace clean and orderly.
• Record results and sign/initial appropriate records as required by ISO 17025.
• Report anomalies to the Laboratory Manager or Supervisor promptly.
• Assist with routine maintenance of equipment and calibration checks.
