Job summary

Sodexo Ireland is hiring a Lab Technician in Belmullet, Mayo. The role is a full-time, 1-year fixed-term contract, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8:00 am–4:00 pm. Pay is €20–€23 per hour depending on experience, with free meals and Sodexo employee benefits.

You will sample and analyze, monitor environmental factors, maintain data integrity, and support quality management systems, reporting to laboratory supervisors.

Qualifications

• 3rd Level Qualification in a Science Discipline, preferably Chemistry related.
• 1-2 Years’ experience working as an Analyst in a GMP/GLP environment.
• 1-2 Years’ experience with Analytical Equipment, specifically HPLC and GC, and other lab techniques.
• Good knowledge of Data Integrity from Laboratory perspective.
• Excellent communication, organization, time-management and teamwork skills.

What you'll do

• Responsible for sampling and analysis.
• Environmental monitoring
• Water sampling
• Radiation monitoring
• Mercury, benzene and flammable gas monitoring
• Draft and review documentation –SOPs, protocols, training modules, investigations, reports, and deviations.
• Reviews and interprets test results
• Trending of results and preform investigations into adverse or out of limit results.
• Validation of equipment and test methods.
• Adhering to all company standards in the areas of safety, housekeeping and quality, notifying management of any discrepancies
• Ensure good housekeeping and good laboratory practices
• Work with team, Supervisors, Quality Manager and Laboratory Manager to ensure compliance to Quality Management System

What you'll bring
