Job summary

Lyrath Estate Hotel, a 5-star property on the outskirts of Kilkenny City, is seeking a kitchen porter to join our team. This on-site role involves supporting the culinary team, keeping the kitchen spotless, and maintaining HACCP standards.

No prior experience is required as full training will be provided, and we offer flexible working arrangements to suit casual or part-time commitments.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a busy kitchen environment preferred.
• Must be flexible with shifts and able to work under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills and team ethos are essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist culinary team to maintain HACCP standards.
• Ensure kitchens are clean at all times.
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment including dishwasher and scrub stations.
• Wash and disinfect kitchen and store areas, tables, tools and equipment.
• Maintain knowledge of standards of performance within the Kitchen department.

Lyrath Estate Hotel a 5 star luxurious property nestled on the outskirts of Kilkenny City is currently recruiting for a kitchen porter to join our team.

Your Responsibilities:

• Work alongside the culinary team to maintain HACCP standards.
• Responsible for the cleanliness of the kitchens at all times.
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment and tools, including the dish washing machine, hand wash stations and pot-scrubbing station
• Wash and disinfect kitchen and store room areas, tables, tools, knives, and equipment.
• To have a thorough knowledge and understanding of all standards of performance and delivery within the Kitchen department.

The ideal candidate should have previous experience working in a busy environment and be capable of performing in a very challenging role. You must be fully flexible, hard working, have the ability to work under pressure and have excellent communication skills.
