Job summary

Sodexo in Ringaskiddy, Cork invites a Kitchen Porter to join a busy corporate kitchen team. You will keep all kitchen areas, equipment and utensils clean, help with deliveries and waste disposal, and assist chefs with food prep in a fast-paced environment.

This full-time role offers 39 hours per week, a starting wage of €14.80 per hour, free parking, free meals and access to Sodexo's employee benefits package plus development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Training provided; kitchen experience is a plus.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong focus on cleanliness and hygiene.
• Team-oriented with a proactive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Keep all kitchen areas, equipment, crockery and utensils clean and organized.
• Assist chefs with accepting and storing deliveries.
• Dispose of kitchen waste and recyclables safely.
• Assist chefs with food preparation tasks when required.
• Collaborate with the kitchen team to support colleagues.

What you'll do:

• Keep all kitchen areas, equipment, crockery, and utensils clean, tidy, and well-organised
• Help the chefs to check, accept, and correctly store incoming deliveries
• Disposing of kitchen waste and recyclables safely and responsibly
• Assist chefs with food prep tasks if needed
• Work closely with the kitchen team and supporting your colleagues

What you'll bring:

• We provide full training, but if you’ve worked in a kitchen before, that’s a plus!
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
• A good eye for cleanliness and hygiene
