Job summary

Evergreen Care in Mullinahinch is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to help run a clean, warm dining environment in our private nursing home. You’ll work under supervision to prepare and serve meals, maintain hygiene, and support a home-like atmosphere centered on residents.

We offer in-house training, flexible working options, meals on shifts, free on-site parking, and ongoing up-skilling opportunities to help you progress toward a Cook’s role.

Qualifications

• Must have knowledge of basic food hygiene and HACCP principles.
• Experience in food preparation and serving preferred.
• Ability to work as part of a team and maintain high standards of cleanliness.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the catering department in a clean, hygienic, and welcoming dining area.
• Prepare and cook meals under supervision; ensure accurate presentation of food.
• Keep the kitchen well-stocked and manage resources efficiently.
