The Address Collective is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to support our kitchen team in Sligo. You will arrive on time in a clean, presentable uniform and uphold strict hygiene standards while assisting with general kitchen and delivery-area duties.

Responsibilities include adhering to HACCP guidelines, cleaning schedules, stock handling, and participating in training sessions to maintain a safe, efficient working environment.

  • To arrive promptly on duty as scheduled in a full, clean and presentable uniform at all times in accordance with company grooming policy.
  • Maintain the highest level of personal and work cleanliness and hygiene, complying with HACCP requirements.
  • Ensure the agreed standard of uniform and personal hygiene is carried out in the kitchen at all times.
  • Ensure all cleaning schedules are adhered to, and hygiene is checked daily.
  • Comply with company regulations regarding Fire, Health and Safety, Hygiene, Food Hygiene, Customer Care and Security.
  • Ensure all items of crockery, cutlery and glassware are washed, dried, polished and stored properly.
  • Carry out cleaning duties as outlined in the kitchen-cleaning schedule.
  • Empty bins when full.
  • Be aware of hazardous substances and ensure protective clothing is worn and directions followed.
  • Attend training sessions and meetings as required.
  • Maintain your area of responsibility in a safe, hygienic, healthy and hazard-free manner and environment.
  • Comply with the delivery intake of produce.
  • Read, understand and carry out responsibilities as defined in Health and Safety Statement and Staff Handbook.
  • Ensure work areas are kept clean, safe and tidy at all times.
  • Report maintenance issues immediately to management.
  • All staff to participate in training and communication meetings with advance notice.

Responsible to: Head Chef and/or Management

Responsible for: To ensure that all crockery, cutlery & kitchen utensils are stored and maintained correctly and to maintain the cleanliness of the kitchen and delivery areas in accordance with company policy and HACCP regulations.

Main Duties
  • To arrive promptly on duty as scheduled in a full, clean & presentable uniform at all times in accordance with company grooming policy.
  • Maintain the highest level of personal and work cleanliness and hygiene, and throughout all duties comply with HACCP requirements.
  • To ensure that the agreed standard of uniform and personal hygiene is carried out in the kitchen at all times.
  • To ensure all cleaning schedules are adhered to, and hygiene is checked daily.
  • To comply with company legislations regarding Fire, Health and Safety, Hygiene, Food Hygiene, Customer Care and Security.
