About the Team & Business Line:

Private Equity IT are currently looking to fill a junior software developer position to assist with development and maintenance of strategic financial systems. The individual in this position will participate in the development and support of multiple client-facing and internal business systems.

This position reports to the local Private Equity IT Manager. Citco IT is a global team of IT professionals that are responsible for the development and support of IT applications. The candidate will interact closely with the PE IT team and business analysts, as well as QA teams and other technical groups and resources within Citco.

Your Role:

• You will be involved with junior level test automation development and maintenance, adhering to best practices and current technologies
• You will assist with building and maintaining automated tests across API, UI, ETL, and database layers
• You will support the integration of test automation into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous regression testing
• You will participate in identifying and reporting defects, communicating findings to the team
• You will report on test progress and status as part of the wider delivery process

About You:

• You hold a relevant technical qualification in a computing, software development, or related discipline
• You have an interest in technology and self-learning
• You are a critical thinker — someone who questions why things are the way they are, not just how they work
• You have a quality-focused mindset — you can demonstrate an aptitude for testing and understanding how software should behave, whether through formal qualification or practical experience
• You have an awareness of AI tooling and how it can be applied meaningfully within a development workflow
• You have some programming experience and an interest in writing code — you are familiar with general development concepts that are applicable across languages and frameworks
• Experience with Python is a bonus
• You have contributed to a team-based project
