Job summary

JJ Rhatigan, a leading Irish contractor, is seeking a Junior Quantity Surveyor to support the commercial team across procurement, tendering and reporting. You will help manage subcontractor/supplier communications, assist with tender comparisons and ensure compliant documentation before works commence on site.

You will gain exposure to CVR, cashflow reporting, SAP workflows and collaborative project delivery within a long-standing construction group.

Qualifications

• Degree or Higher Diploma in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
• Strong understanding of construction contracts, procurement processes and commercial management principles.
• Excellent numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with SAP or similar systems would be advantageous.
• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Assist procurement including take-offs, tender documentation and tracking returns.
• Develop and maintain list of interested subcontractors/suppliers for tender communication.
• Review tenders against scope and specs; raise queries and keep information aligned.
• Prepare internal sign-off documentation for subcontractor appointments.
• Support monthly appraisals, cashflows and project reporting.
• Upload payments to SAP and manage certification processes.
• Maintain project commercial records on SharePoint.
