EDC Engineering Design Consultants LTD. are seeking a BIM Coordinator to uphold our quality-driven approach. You must have 1+ years of Building Services Consultancy Design experience with REVIT MEP and BIM proficiency, including coordination meetings and standard compliance.

Work-from-home arrangements exist with three days in the office and flexibility to balance work and personal needs in a hybrid model across Ireland.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Certificate in BIM or Engineering or equivalent.
• 1+ Years’ experience in an MEP Building Consultancy producing drawings with 3D modelling tools.
• Ideally at least 1+ year using REVIT MEP.
• BIM experience essential.

Responsibilities

• Manage the design aspects of projects to ensure deadlines are met.
• Carry out M&E design work using REVIT MEP and Navis delivering constructible 3D clash-free models for clients.
• Attend BIM coordination meetings representing EDC as a specialised BIM professional.
• Ensure BIM & CAD standards are upheld.

THE ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

For this role, we are looking for a BIM Coordinator who can uphold EDC's approach to quality-driven success. You must have a minimum of 1+ years Building Services Consultancy Design experience and will be a competent user of 3D modelling tools including REVIT MEP and have experience using BIM.

• Manage the design aspects of projects, as appropriate, to ensure deadlines are met.
• Carry out M&E design work as applicable using REVIT MEP and Navis delivering constructible 3D clash free models for EDC’s clients.
• Attend BIM coordination meetings as required representing EDC as a specialised BIM professional.
• Ensure BIM & CAD standards are upheld.

Follow EDC’s Environmental Management System (EMS), including all related policies, procedures, and training.

Perform duties in a manner that supports the company’s environmental objectives and sustainability commitments.

Work-from-home arrangements to be agreed with the line manager, with an expectation of three days in the office and flexibility to balance business and personal needs.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Diploma/Certificate in BIM or Engineering, Revit training desirable.
  
• 1+ Years’ experience in an MEP Building Consultancy, producing drawings using 3D Modelling tools.
• Ideally at least 1+ year using REVIT MEP
• BIM experience essential.
• Experience in residential, commercial, educational, healthcare, and industrial projects in Ireland and/or the UK is required.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

• Possess a good knowledge of the practicalities of design, and the ability to make informed design decisions.
• Experience in determining time lines for modelling of both M&E services, for both client and internal
• Ability to identify modelling and timeline risks to ensure client deadlies are met
• Ability to organise BIM team and prioritise modelling elements when required
• Ability to prioritise workload and manage multiple jobs/tasks.
• Drive excellence through high-quality work.
• Proactive approach to work with a strong team spirit.
• Confident to speak up and make decisions.
