Job summary

Murphy Geospatial – A Woolpert Company in Ireland is seeking a Junior Geospatial Engineer to join the Special Projects team in Leixlip. You'll support surveying projects, assist the lead surveyor, and gain experience with modern geospatial technology.

The role requires at least 1 year of survey experience, a related degree (desirable), and a willingness to work nationwide in Ireland. A driving licence is preferred. This on-site position offers growth within a global geospatial leader.

Responsibilities

• Assist the lead surveyor on surveying projects using a variety of specialised equipment and technology.
• Work with modern survey methods and survey devices such as total station and Terrestrial and Mobile Scanners.
• Establish survey controls, setting out gridlines, levelling, traversing and other engineering surveying work.
• Record survey information and ensure survey kit is maintained.
• Deliver to company policies, procedures, standards and best practices.
• Perform other duties as required by the business.

Position Overview

We are currently recruiting a Junior Geospatial Engineer to join our Special Projects department based in Leixlip. This is a great opportunity for someone with previous experience or someone looking to progress their career to work within the expeditious Geospatial industry. The successful applicant will be reporting the Geospatial Manager and will be based in Dublin.

What You Will Do

• Assisting the lead surveyor on surveying projects using a variety of specialised equipment and technology, including but not limited to;

• - Working with modern survey methods and survey devices such as total station and Terrestrial and Mobile Scanners.
• - Assisting the team when undertaking various types of survey tasks in a field based manufacturing environment.
• - Establishing survey controls, setting out gridlines, levelling, traversing and other engineering surveying work.
• - Recording of survey information

• Ensuring that all survey kit is maintained and well kept.
• Delivering to company policies, procedures, standards and best practices.
• Any other duties as required by the business.

What You Will Bring
