Job summary

Suir Engineering Ltd in Castletroy (Limerick) is seeking a Junior Electrical Engineer to join our pharmaceutical project team on site. You will develop and review electrical drawings, support safety compliance, and assist with procurement and site documentation. The role offers hands-on training, exposure to HV/LV systems, and opportunities to work across Ireland, the U.K.

and Europe. A third-level Electrical Engineering degree with 1+ year experience is desired, along with strong communication

Qualifications

• Third-level degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 1+ year of experience as an Electrical Engineer.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and review schematic drawings and single line diagrams.
• Comply with project safety requirements.
• Detailed design covering high and low voltage equipment and control/protection systems.
• Specification, selection and procurement of equipment.
• Monitor progress and provide engineering support to the project team.
• Create test packs, test sheets, QA/QC documents and handover documents.
• Provide site documentation, updated drawings, tags and equipment to the site team.
• Review and upload handover documents to the client.
• Update technical drawings on-site with live updates and site changes.
• Attend site walks and daily client meetings.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Junior Electrical Engineer to join Suir Engineering. This position will be based Castletroy, Co. Limerick on a Pharmaceutical project.

What you will be doing?

• Development and review of schematic drawings and single line diagrams
• Complying with specific project safety requirements
• Detailed design covering all aspects of High & Low voltage equipment and control and protection systems
• Specification, selection and procurement of the range of equipment
• Monitor progress against the program and issue progress reports. Provide engineering support for the project team and work closely alongside the Quality and Commissioning Teams.
• Create Test Packs for field use, this includes Test Sheets/QAQC Documents/Handover Documents/ Load Calculations for the Client.
• Provide support to the site team, i.e. supplying relevant documentation, most up-to-date drawings, identification tags, and other relevant site equipment.
• Review & upload Handover documents to the Client.
• Update technical drawings on-site with live updates and site changes
• Attend site walks / daily meetings with the client

• Suitable Candidates must have a third level degree in Electrical Engineering with 1+ years’ experience working as an Electrical Engineer.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Experience working in the power and renewables sector
