Job summary

O'Hehirs bakery and Cafe in Galway is seeking a Front of House team member for term-time, on-site work. The role is full-time with min 35 hours per week and shifts from 7.30am to 4pm.

It works term-time only, with weekends, bank holidays and college closure times off. Responsibilities include operating the till, cashing up, preparing breakfast items and assisting lunch prep using main kitchen supplies, while keeping areas clean and welcoming.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a deli or similar customer-facing role is an advantage, but not essential.
• If you've worked in a similar role full-time for six months or more, we'd love to hear from you.
• A friendly, approachable personality with a genuine passion for providing excellent customer service.
• Someone who enjoys working as part of a team and brings a positive, enthusiastic attitude to work every day.
• An interest in developing a career in hospitality and a willingness to learn and grow.

Responsibilities

• Operating the till and complete end-of-day cashing-up procedures.
• Confident in preparing a selection of breakfast items and assisting with lunch preparation using food supplied by our main kitchen.
• Keeping your work area clean, organised, and welcoming throughout the day.
• Working as part of a small team, supporting colleagues in wash-up area during busy periods when required.
• Help welcome and train new team members, sharing your knowledge and supporting them as they settle into their role.

The Role

Full Time: Min 35 hours p.w

Working hours: 30-40 hous P.W - This role works term time only, with weekends, bank holidays & college closed time off
