Job summary

FORTÉ Ireland is seeking a Junior AV Installation Engineer to join our Dublin-based team. You will work on site across Dublin and Ireland, installing, configuring and commissioning professional AV systems alongside experienced engineers.

No extensive AV experience is required; training will be provided. You will gain hands-on exposure to the latest AV technology and projects across Ireland with opportunities to travel internationally.

Qualifications

• No prior AV experience required; training will be provided for the right candidate.
• A full driving licence is an advantage.
• Previous experience in AV/electrical/IT or similar technical environments is beneficial, but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure and commission professional AV systems on site.
• Assist with cable runs, mounting and integration of displays, projectors, audio and video systems.
• Support fault finding and on-site technical issues as projects progress.
• Work from drawings and project specifications to ensure accurate installations.
• Collaborate with engineers and clients to deliver high-quality AV solutions.

The Role:

As a Junior AV Installation Engineer, you’ll work alongside experienced engineers installing, configuring and commissioning professional AV systems. You’ll gain hands‑on experience across areas such as:

• AV equipment installation and cabling
• Displays, projectors and video systems
• Audio systems
• Video conferencing and meeting room technology
• Control systems and system commissioning
• Fault finding and technical support
• Working from drawings and project specifications.

Travel Opportunities

The role is primarily site-based in Dublin, with projects across Ireland. There will also be opportunities to travel internationally, working on exciting AV projects outside Ireland for leading global companies.
