Job summary

Emergn in Ireland is seeking a Junior Accountant to deliver reliable day-to-day bookkeeping and support month-end processes.

You will work across intercompany transactions, VAT, audits, and statutory accounts, collaborating with an international finance team to maintain accurate records.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of financial and management accounting experience.
  • Part-qualified or studying towards ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent.
  • Strong attention to detail and a structured, organised approach to work.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to learn and develop within an international, multi-entity environment.
  • Experience with intercompany transactions, VAT, or audit support would be an advantage.
  • Experience working in a global company.
  • Advanced Excel skills.

Responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day bookkeeping, including accounts payable and receivable.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and assist with resolving discrepancies.
  • Support month-end close, including journals, accruals, and reconciliations.
  • Assist with statutory accounts preparation under the guidance of senior finance team members.
  • Support intercompany transactions and reconciliation.
  • Assist with VAT compliance and other routine finance activities.
  • Provide support during internal and external audits.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and support the wider Finance team with ad hoc tasks.
