Job summary

Sisk Group is seeking a Joinery Floor Supervisor to oversee day-to-day joinery workshop activities within our Training Centre. This role involves supervising apprentices, ensuring safe and efficient operation of all tools and machinery, and supporting the delivery of a high-quality training programme.

The Supervisor acts as a key liaison between apprentices, instructors and management, fostering a positive learning environment while ensuring full compliance with health and safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Experience in joinery or carpentry, ideally in a workshop setting.
• Strong leadership and communication abilities for mentoring apprentices.
• Ability to enforce health and safety regulations and risk assessments.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations on the joinery workshop floor, ensuring safety and quality standards.
• Support the delivery of training outputs and supervise apprentices and staff.
• Monitor apprentice progress and provide guidance and feedback during practical assessments.
• Maintain equipment and ensure workshop cleanliness with regular safety checks.
• Coordinate materials, inventory and ordering of supplies as needed.
• Prepare progress reports and communicate achievements or concerns to management.
