Job summary

Global Professional Consultants seeks an experienced Estimator for its Longford office. You will own pricing and tendering for bespoke joinery and fit-out packages, helping secure profitable work and transitioning tenders to delivery teams.

Key tasks include reviewing drawings, preparing cost breakdowns, negotiating supplier quotes, and maintaining the pricing database. The role requires strong attention to detail and timely tender submissions.

Qualifications

• 2+ years estimating experience in joinery or fit-out.
• Ability to read architectural drawings and specs.
• Knowledge of joinery materials and production methods.
• Experience with estimating software such as Project Pak.
• Detail oriented with strong accuracy.
• Excellent communication with clients and suppliers.
• Full driving licence desirable.
• Trade background in carpentry/joinery or QS qualification.
• Experience pricing for main contractors on commercial fit-out projects.
• Familiar with CAD drawings and cutting-list/production software.

Responsibilities

• Review tender docs, drawings and specs for take-offs.
• Price bespoke joinery and fit-out packages including install.
• Obtain and analyse supplier/subcontractor quotations and negotiate.
• Prepare tenders, bills of quantities and cost breakdowns on time.
• Attend pre-tender/site meetings with clients and contractors.
• Identify value engineering opportunities to improve competitiveness.
• Hand over secured projects to project co-ordinator and workshop.
• Assist pricing variations on live projects.
• Maintain pricing database and supplier rates.
• Track tender outcomes and report on win rates.
