Job summary

Apple Inc. in Ireland is seeking an early-career Java Engineer to join the Radar Platform team.

You will design, build, and test backend services in Java, contribute to a large-scale microservices ecosystem built on Spring, Solr, and Oracle, and help deliver end-to-end features that power Apple’s product development and work management tools. You will work with senior engineers across Ireland, California, Texas, and Ireland, receive structured mentorship, and learn Apple’s development practices

Qualifications

• Solid programming in Java with OO design and algorithms.
• Experience building REST APIs or backend services (Spring).
• Familiarity with relational databases and SQL.
• Experience with Git and SDLC concepts.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and test backend features in Java for Radar.
• Write clean, well-tested code and participate in reviews.
• Break down features with senior engineers and deliver on schedule.
• Investigate production issues with the team and operations.
• Contribute to design discussions and project documentation.
• Help improve engineering best practices.
