Job summary

Apple Inc. in Cork, Ireland, seeks an early-career Swift Engineer to help build the native Radar apps used across macOS and iOS.

You will join the Radar Client team to develop, test, and ship features that empower Apple’s engineers, across a high-traffic, business-critical platform. You’ll work with a distributed team (California, Texas, Ireland) and receive structured mentorship, training in Apple’s development practices, and the support to grow quickly while delivering end-to-end features that

Qualifications

• Swift or similar language with protocol-oriented and OO design, data structures, and algorithms.
• Experience with SwiftUI, AppKit, or UIKit.
• Familiarity with building apps for Apple platforms using Xcode.
• Experience with version control (Git) and a working understanding of the software development lifecycle.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS/SE or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience consuming REST APIs from a client app.
• Experience with unit and UI testing frameworks such as XCTest.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and test features and bug fixes for Radar’s native apps in Swift.
• Write clean, well-tested, maintainable code, and participate in code reviews.
• Work with senior engineers and designers to break down features into well-scoped tasks and deliver them on schedule.
• Investigate and resolve issues reported by users, working with QE and the Radar Platform team.
• Contribute to technical design discussions and documentation.
• Follow and help improve the team’s engineering best practices.
