Job summary

ABP Ireland is seeking an IT Technician to join our team in Cahir, Co. Tipperary.

You will report to the IT Manager and work with Production and Operations, handling installation, repair and troubleshooting of software and hardware across the factory environment. The successful candidate will perform IT repairs on equipment, provide support for plant facilities including CCTV and Time management systems, and participate in preventive maintenance and site reliability.

Qualifications

• IT Level 6 or higher
• Proficient in computer applications and Windows software packages
• Good communication and organisation skills
• Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Willing to travel to different sites for training
• A flair for technology and computing

Responsibilities

• Observe on-site health & safety, food safety and environmental rules
• Carry out IT process awareness and troubleshooting
• Complete IT repairs to food processing, handling and packaging equipment
• Provide technical support for plant facilities and services including CCTV and time management systems
• Perform basic hardware, printer and workstation repairs
• Carry out and record planned maintenance routines
• Carry out and record preventive maintenance

We are now looking to recruit an IT Technician based in our offices in Cahir, Co.Tipperary. Reporting to the I.T Manager the successful candidate will work in conjunction with Production and Operations. They will perform installation, repair and troubleshooting work with software and hardware systems/equipment in all areas of the factory.

Key Responsibilities:

• Observe all on site and legislative rules and regulations in terms of Health & Safety, food safety and environmental.
• Carry out I.T process awareness and troubleshooting.
• Complete I.T repairs to food processing, handling and packaging equipment.
• Technical support for plant facilities and services including, CCTV, evacuation systems and Time management systems.
• Be able to perform basic hardware, printer and workstation repairs
• Carry out and record planned maintenance routines on equipment.
• Carry out and record preventive maintenance.

The Candidate:

• IT Qualification of Level 6 or above
• Must be proficient in computer applications and windows software packages
• Good communication and organisation skills
• Able to work under pressure as ABP is a fast-paced organisation
• Take ownership of issues
• Willing to travel to different sites for training purposes
• A flair for technology and computing
