Job summary

ABP Ireland & Affiliates in Cahir, Co. Tipperary, is seeking an IT Technician to join our Production and Operations teams. You will install, repair and troubleshoot software and hardware systems across the factory.

Reporting to the IT Manager, you will carry out preventive maintenance, support plant facilities, and travel to different sites for training as required.

The ideal candidate has an IT qualification, strong troubleshooting skills and good communication in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• IT qualification at Level 6 or higher.
• Proficient with computer applications and Windows software packages.
• Good communication and organisation skills.
• Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Willing to travel to different sites for training.

Responsibilities

• Observe Health & Safety, food safety and environmental rules on site.
• Carry out IT process awareness and troubleshooting.
• Complete IT repairs to processing, handling and packaging equipment.
• Provide technical support for plant facilities and services (CCTV, evacuation, Time management).
• Perform basic hardware, printer and workstation repairs.
• Carry out and record planned maintenance on equipment.
• Carry out and record preventive maintenance.
