Le Meas Executive Search partnered with a Financial Services firm to hire an IT Risk & Assurance Officer. Location: Dublin, hybrid working.

You will review how technology and security controls are designed, put in place and evidenced across cloud, Microsoft 365, applications, identity, data and suppliers. This newly created role offers the opportunity to shape the function from the start and own risk-based assurance across infrastructure, cloud, SaaS, and third-party controls while explaining

Qualifications

• 4-7 years in cyber security assurance, technology risk, IT audit, cloud security or security operations, in a regulated financial services firm.
• A degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Information Systems or similar, or equivalent experience.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 27001, NIST and CIS Controls.
• Hands-on experience with Azure, AWS and Microsoft 365 security.
• Familiarity with SIEM, EDR and DLP tools.
• The ability to turn technical issues into clear risks and practical actions.
• The confidence to work on your own initiative and take full ownership.
• CISSP, CISA, CISM or similar certifications are an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Run risk-based assurance reviews across infrastructure, cloud, SaaS, access management, vulnerability management and resilience.
• Find control gaps, write clear findings and follow remediation through.
• Keep controls aligned with ISO 27001, NIST CSF, CIS Controls, ITIL and DORA.
• Assess emerging risks across Azure, AWS, Microsoft 365 and Generative AI.
• Review security incidents from SIEM, EDR and DLP tools, and take part in incident response exercises.
• Check that third-party providers meet their agreed controls and SLAs.
• Support audit responses, attestations and governance reporting.
• Explain technical findings clearly to any audience.
