Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree in engineering, computer science, life sciences, or equivalent with project delivery experience in IT systems within GMP-regulated environments.
• Strong understanding of Agile principles; PM/Agile certification preferred. Familiarity with Design Thinking and customer-centric delivery.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and lead project delivery and governance, including planning, scope, timelines, budgets, risk management and reporting to senior leadership.
• Promote and apply Agile methodologies to manage iterative development and CI/CD, using Scrum or Kanban where appropriate.
• Embed modern delivery practices and automation to improve delivery effectiveness across projects.
• Collaborate with business, regulatory and technical stakeholders to communicate project vision and outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with GxP, data integrity, validation requirements and regulatory standards; maintain documentation lifecycles.

SimoTech has an opportunity for an IT Project Manager withexpertise delivering GxP Systems to join our team, supporting a greenfieldstate-of-the-art biotech manufacturing organisation in Limerick.

The successful IT Project Manager will take lead managing complexdigital systems projects to deliver IT solutions to drive compliance,efficiency, change and innovation, incorporating Agile principles and ensuringquality standards are maintained.

KeyResponsibilities

• Overseeand lead project delivery and governance. This includes the planning anddelivery of GxP IT systems projects, developing project charters, scoping outprojects including timelines and budgets, implementing risk managementstrategies, and tracing delivery performance to ensure projects are alignedwith business objectives.
  
• Promoteand apply Agile methodologies to manage iterative development and ongoing CI/CD.
  
• Embed Agile delivery approaches using Scrum orKanban to support iterative execution and continuous improvement, includingcoaching teams on Agile best practices and facilitating Agile team meetings fordaily stand-ups, sprint planning etc.
  
• Encourage the adoption of automation and moderndelivery practices to enhance overall delivery effectiveness.
  
• Actively collaborate with key stakeholders representingthe business, regulatory, and technical areas to clearly communicate theproject vision, expected outcomes, and provide project status updates to seniorleadership.
  
• Ensure compliance and quality standards are adheredto pharmaceutical regulatory standards.
  
• Ensure all documentation meets quality andregulatory requirements, including validation protocols and project lifecycledeliverables
  

Requirements

Key Requirements

• Bachelors degree in engineering, computer science, lifesciences, or similar with experience project managing the delivery of ITsystems within a life sciences GMP regulated environment.
  
• Strong understanding of Agile principles, with provenexperience acting as an advocate for the adoption of Agile methodologies. PMPor Agile certification preferred. Knowledge of Design Thinking principles andcustomer-centric delivery preferred.
  
• Proven capability in managing project scope, schedules,budgets, and governance within a complex,highly regulated delivery settings.
  
• Strong leadership, organisation and communication skillswith experience successfully collaborating with key stakeholders and seniorleadership.
  
• Experience operating within regulated environments, withunderstanding of GxP, data integrity, and validation requirements.
  
• Ability to work in a hybrid model, with 3 days perweek based on-site and 2 days working remotely.
