Job summary

Barden, working with a client in the banking domain, seeks an IT Manager focused on governance and DORA compliance. You will own regulatory compliance and IT governance for the business while remaining hands-on across infrastructure and security.

Based in Cork, the role is fully onsite and reports to the board and IT Committee, driving audit and governance programmes, managing the MSP relationship, and providing senior technical leadership as the function expands.

Qualifications

• Proven experience owning DORA, NIS2, ISO 27001 or an equivalent regulatory/compliance framework.
• Comfortable reporting to board and committee level and communicating with senior stakeholders.
• A genuine technical background alongside the governance piece - not purely audit or paperwork - across infrastructure, cybersecurity or MSP management.
• Regulated environment experience, ideally financial services, banking, or credit union.
• Senior enough to operate independently, but happy working alongside another in house IT hires rather than leading a large team.

Responsibilities

• Own DORA and Central Bank regulatory compliance, building on the gap analysis already completed.
• Report directly into the board and IT Committee, giving senior level visibility on IT risk and resilience.
• Drive audit and governance programmes across the business.
• Stay hands on with infrastructure, cybersecurity and firewall management day to day, and manage the outsourced MSP relationship.
• Provide senior technical and governance leadership as the function builds out.
