Job summary

GOAL is seeking a Global Citizenship Youth & Public Engagement Coordinator to oversee the development and delivery of GOAL’s Global Citizenship youth and public engagement programme, with a focus on empowering young people and engaging the wider Irish public on global issues related to GOAL’s work.

The role involves shaping strategies, coordinating the Global NextGen Youth Programme, managing campaigns, monitoring impact, and ensuring safeguarding standards across activities.

Qualifications

• Passionate about young people, Global Citizenship, international development and social justice.
• Degree or equivalent in related field or evidence of comparable professional or volunteer experience.
• 4-5 years’ experience coordinating, developing and implementing programmes relating to youth and public engagement.
• Demonstrated experience of event management, conceptualisation, programming, coordination, production and post-reporting.
• Background working with young people and developing and fostering youth networks essential with proven ability to lead and inspire young people.
• Excellent presentation and facilitation skills and experience
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• IT Skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Note: Garda vetting is required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategies to increase GOAL’s engagement with young people in Ireland around Global Citizenship.
• Coordinate and deliver GOAL’s Global NextGen Youth Programme & Network.
• Manage the development and delivery of Global Citizenship’s public engagement strategy and related campaigns.
• Support facilitation of GOAL’s Global Citizenship Education programme, external talks and workshops.
• Develop robust monitoring and evaluation tools to review effectiveness and plan the future of the programme.
• Coordinate youth & public engagement budget and implementation plan with donor reporting.
