Job summary

Matheson LLP is seeking an experienced IP lawyer to join the IP Disputes team in Ireland. You will work on complex IP disputes for international and domestic clients across technology, life sciences, and consumer goods, while mentoring junior team members and collaborating with partners to grow the practice.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years PQE in IP matters.
• Experience across trade marks, patents, copyright, designs and trade secrets.
• Experience managing IP portfolios and filings before IPO Ireland and EUIPO.
• Experience of IP licensing, assignments and commercial agreements.
• Deep technical expertise with a strong business development track record.
• Client-focused, able to manage diverse workloads with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Work on complex multi-jurisdictional IP disputes for a variety of clients.
• Collaborate with in-house counsel on global IP strategies in cross‑functional teams.
• Manage junior and associate lawyers and mentor them.
• Participate in business development, representing Matheson at international conferences.
• Drive thought leadership in IP law through the Matheson client knowledge programme.
