Job summary

Uisce Éireann is seeking a Store Operative to support inventory management, picking, packing and delivery coordination across our national stores. You will work closely with the Inventory Management team to ensure stock accuracy, safety compliance and timely deliveries to sites.

The role requires a good understanding of safety procedures, IT literacy, and experience in warehousing. A full driving licence and forklift experience are preferred, with training provided.

Qualifications

• Secondary level education or equivalent work experience.
• Experience of working in an operations stores / warehouse environment.
• We keep each other safe - knowledge of health & safety culture.
• IT literacy and familiarity with inventory systems, MS Office and ERP systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Forklift operation is preferred, with training provided.
• Manual handling experience is essential, with training provided.
• Strong time management and ability to prioritise tasks.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to policies, procedures, and internal controls for the Inventory team.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures and participate in safety programmes.
• Undertake health and safety training including Safe Pass where relevant.
• Record and verify stock, loads, and purchase order requirements.
• Pick and assemble work orders accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain accurate stock locations and accessibility.
• Participate in out-of-hours emergency call-out rota as needed.
• Assist with stock taking and collaborate with internal customers to meet needs.
• Operate relevant machinery and work independently, following safety rules.
