Sant Nirankari Health City in Ireland is seeking a Cath Lab Technician to support cardiologists during diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures. You will help prepare the Cath Lab, ensure equipment readiness, maintain sterile technique, and monitor patient safety throughout procedures.

The role requires a Diploma or B.Sc. in Cardiac Care Technology, BLS/ACLS preferred, and 5+ years in a Cath Lab or cardiac department.

Formación

• Diploma or B.Sc. in Cardiac Care Technology / Cath Lab Technology is required.
• BLS and ACLS certification is preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in a Cath Lab or cardiac department.
• Strong understanding of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and interventional procedures.
• Good interpersonal, technical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work rotational shifts, including weekends and on-call duties.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare the Cath Lab and ensure equipment and supplies are ready before procedures.
• Assist the cardiologist during cardiac catheterization, angioplasty, and pacemaker implantation.
• Operate and monitor imaging, hemodynamic, and recording equipment during procedures.
• Maintain aseptic and sterile techniques to prevent infection.
• Monitor patients’ vital signs and assist in emergencies during procedures.
• Ensure calibration, sterilization, and maintenance of Cath Lab instruments and devices.
• Record procedural details, patient data, and material usage accurately.
• Handle and dispose of bio-medical waste per hospital policy.
• Support post-procedure patient care and transfer to recovery or ICU.
• Maintain readiness of emergency equipment and assist in code situations.
• Participate in radiation safety trainings and comply with regulations.
