Requirements include NMBI General Nurse Registration, 1–2 years of clinical nursing experience (preferably cardiology), and desirable cath lab/interventional cardiology

Qualifications

• Be registered, or eligible for registration, with the NMBI General Nurse Division.
• 1–2 years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in cardiology or acute care.
• Cardiac Cath Lab or interventional cardiology experience desirable.
• Knowledge of current practices in interventional cardiology nursing.
• Experience with invasive cardiology procedures desirable.
• Ability to provide safe, patient-centred care in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, hands-on, patient-centred nursing care during interventional cardiology procedures.
• Prepare patients for procedures with pre-procedure assessments and information.
• Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures; escalate changes as needed.
• Assist with catheterisation laboratory setup, equipment, and supplies; ensure sterilisation and infection control.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team for coordinated care and outcomes.
• Maintain accountability to NMBI standards and pursue ongoing professional development.
