Job summary

Bon Secours Health System is seeking a Registered General Nurse in Cardiology for a full-time position in Limerick. The role focuses on patient-centred care for individuals undergoing interventional cardiology procedures, including pre- and post-procedure support in a fast-paced hospital setting.

The successful candidate will have 1–2 years in cardiology or acute care, cath lab experience, and be registered or eligible with NMBI.

Qualifications

Registered nurse with current NMBI registration or eligible.
1–2 years of clinical nursing experience, with emphasis on cardiology or acute care.
Experience in a cath lab or interventional cardiology setting.
Desirable knowledge of interventional cardiology trends and practices.
Desirable experience with Electronic Health Records.

Responsibilities

Provide hands-on nursing care for patients undergoing interventional cardiology procedures.
Monitor pre-, intra-, and post-procedure patients with attention to vital signs.
Prepare patients for procedures and ensure they are fully informed and reassured.
Maintain infection control and sterile technique in the catheterisation lab.
Collaborate with CNMs/Consultants and multidisciplinary team to optimise outcomes.
Uphold NMBI standards and keep professional knowledge up to date.
Support hospital quality initiatives and patient safety initiatives.
