Job summary

Archer Recruitment in Ireland is seeking an Interoperability Engineer to shape the future of healthcare data integration. You will own HL7, FHIR, APIs and interface engine integrations across complex systems in a major private healthcare environment.

This senior individual contributor role requires deep integration expertise, problem-solving skills and technical leadership. You will drive a major PACS migration, mentor colleagues and improve monitoring, documentation and data transformations.

Qualifications

• Strong healthcare integration experience with HL7, FHIR, APIs and an interface engine such as InterSystems Health Connect, IRIS, Ensemble or HealthShare.
• Strong SQL skills plus ObjectScript, Python or another programming language for transformations, automation and technical problem-solving.
• Excellent troubleshooting and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work across clinical, technical and vendor environments.

Responsibilities

• Own and improve critical HL7/FHIR interfaces, APIs and healthcare data integrations.
• Lead the technical delivery of a major PACS migration and drive vendor relationships to keep projects moving.
• Strengthen monitoring, documentation and support processes while mentoring the wider interoperability team.

WorkingacrossIT,clinical,operational,architecture,securityandexternalvendorteams,you'll take ownership of critical interfaces and integrations, using HL7, FHIR, REST APIs and InterSystems Health Connect/IRIS to ensure data moves securely, accurately and reliably. You'll also play a central role in a major PACS migration while taking the lead on the handover of a highly established interoperability function.

This is a genuinely hands-on senior individual contributor role where you'll combine deep integration expertise with problem-solving and technical leadership. You'll investigate complex interface issues, build and transform messages, analyse data with SQL, improve monitoring and observability, strengthen documentation, and mentor colleagues, with significant scope to shapehowinteroperabilityisdeliveredgoingforward.
