Job summary

Etsy Ireland UC in Dublin is seeking an experienced Supplier Onboarding Lead within the Controller's group to manage end-to-end supplier data lifecycle, onboarding, and risk mitigation. You will ensure data integrity, compliance, and collaboration across Procurement, Compliance, Legal, and Internal Audit teams.

The role requires strong procurement experience (4+ years), expertise in supplier lifecycle processes, and familiarity with Coupa/Workday.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4+ years of procurement experience, with at least 3 years focused on supplier onboarding, risk assessment, and data governance.
• Strong understanding of fundamental procurement and vendor life cycle processes and the ability to communicate the hows and whys to users.
• Experience in managing supplier data within ERP systems; previous experience with Coupa & Workday is an advantage.
• Advanced problem-solving skills, including active listening and the ability to analyze problems and map out solutions.
• Experience in training on supplier onboarding best practices for a wide range of learning styles.
• Outstanding organizational and time-management skills, with high attention to detail.
• Excellent teamwork skills and experience in building effective remote and in-person relationships.
• Previous experience with Coupa & Workday (or other ERP and S2P systems) is an advantage.
• Experience in leading S2P practices and implementing industry trends.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end supplier data lifecycle, a key contributor to procurement operations with emphasis on supplier risk mitigation and data integrity.
• Manage the day-to-day vendor life cycle process, serving as the primary point of contact for new suppliers during onboarding and managing all operational support.
• Manage all supplier data modifications and the offboarding process for Etsy suppliers.
• Ensure all necessary documentation, contracts, and compliance requirements are completed, maintained, and reviewed on a regular basis.
• Review initial supplier requests to check for duplicates and ensure data accuracy from the outset.
• Develop a centralized onboarding process to create greater visibility on vendor status across the organization.
• Lead the supplier risk review process during initial onboarding and through regular periodic assessments.
• Take ownership of the Vendor SOX controls process, proposing improvements in collaboration with Internal Audit.
• Escalate supplier risks appropriately and collaborate with compliance, legal, and business users to mitigate risks or terminate suppliers.
• Collaborate with Procurement, Compliance, Information Security, and Legal to ensure adherence to AML and KYC laws and policies.
• Work with AI on prioritizing alerts and screening grid applications.
• Ensure all company policies are reviewed and updated to reflect current standards.
• Interact with internal and external clients to identify requirements and resolve issues.
• Educate stakeholders on vendor lifecycle best practices by training end users.
• Map current processes and dependencies to highlight areas of opportunity for efficiency and compliance.
• Report to Senior Leadership on metrics and objectives related to vendor lifecycle management.
• Support and champion process changes as they relate to the vendor lifecycle.
• Suggest and implement process improvements to onboarding and risk assessment platforms.

As an member of Etsy's Controller's group, you'll tackle diverse and exciting challenges. We're looking for someone passionate about managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment. Additionally, an exceptional team player who is eager to contribute to various projects as needed is essential. Etsy has undergone a Source to Pay (S2P) transformation which resulted in a center-led procurement model with a goal to create a compliant and frictionless end user experience for S2P governance and procedures. This role serves to further this goal by creating an independent supplier onboarding lead, who will be responsible for the day to day, while creating a long term vision of supplier onboarding. The ideal candidate will have an excellent grasp of Etsy’s S2P system and processes while keeping an eye out for improvement. The candidate will be able to leverage their communication skills to coordinate with various departments, ensuring compliance with Etsy and HOB supplier onboarding standards while establishing strong ties with suppliers. This is a full-time position located in Ireland and reporting to the Procurement Manager.

What does the day-to-day look like?

In this role, you will be the owner for end-to-end supplier data lifecycle, a key contributor to our procurement operations with a heavy emphasis on supplier risk mitigation and data integrity. You will ensure compliance with internal controls, and champion best practices across the Etsy Supplier Data & Lifecycle Management:

Compensation & Benefits

In addition to salary, you'll be eligible for an equity package, an annual performance bonus, and our competitive benefits that support you and your family. Base salary is determined by your location, skills, and experience.

Salary Range: 65,000.00 - 89,000.00 EUR Annual

We prioritize candidates based within commutable distance of Etsy’s Dublin Office. Depending on proximity, we ask team members to come in once or twice per week. Remote candidates outside commutable distance may be considered on a case-by-case basis, with the expectation of occasional travel to the office.
