Job summary

Phorest Software, Ireland, is seeking an Interim Security Manager on a 3‑month contract to lead day‑to‑day security operations and incident response. You’ll work with the Head of Engineering and Foundations, focusing on AWS security, alerts, and governance.

Role is hands‑on, with duties across threat detection, vulnerability management, and security tooling. You’ll build runbooks, improve security posture, and ensure PCI DSS/ISO 27001/GDPR compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years in information security or cybersecurity with leadership exposure.
• Experience contributing to PCI DSS, ISO 27001, HIPAA or GDPR compliance.
• Hands-on in cloud security and secure SDLC practices.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day security operations and incident response.
• Triages cloud security alerts and guides investigations to resolution.
• Protect public endpoints with AWS WAF and related controls.
• Lead incident response and maintain business continuity procedures.
• Review third-party tools for security posture and compliance.
