Job summary

Brightwater Recruitment is recruiting an Insider Threat Analyst (Level 1) for a leading global financial services organisation in Dublin. The role is permanent and hybrid, perfect for someone moving from insider risk, DLP, UEBA or investigations analysis to specialise in insider threat.

You’ll help protect the organisation from internal risks, investigating unusual user behaviour, data loss and misuse of access using industry-standard insider risk, DLP, UEBA and SIEM platforms.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years’ experience in security operations, insider risk, investigations or compliance.
• Exposure to DLP, UEBA, insider risk management or SIEM platforms preferred.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are essential.
• Excellent written communication for case documentation.
• Knowledge of ISO 27001, NIST or GDPR is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Monitor insider risk, DLP and UEBA alerts and investigate cases.
• Prepare clear, objective case reports for management.
• Collaborate with HR, Legal, Compliance and Security on investigations.
• Identify behavioural trends to improve detection rules.
• Support insider threat policies, playbooks and reporting.
• Handle confidential information with discretion and integrity.

This permanent, hybrid role suits a Security Analyst, Insider Risk Analyst, DLP Analyst or Investigations Analyst looking to specialise in insider threat.

About the Position

You’ll help protect the organisation from internal risks, investigating unusual user behaviour, data loss and misuse of access using industry-standard insider risk, DLP, UEBA and SIEM platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor insider risk, DLP (Data Loss Prevention) and UEBA alerts
• Investigate potential insider threat cases and produce clear, objective case reports
• Work with HR, Legal, Compliance and Security on sensitive investigations
• Identify behavioural trends and help improve insider threat detection rules
• Support insider threat policies, playbooks and management reporting
• Handle confidential information with discretion and integrity

Experience/Requirements

• 3–6 years’ experience in security operations, insider risk, investigations, fraud or compliance
• Exposure to DLP, UEBA, insider risk management or SIEM platforms
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Excellent written communication for case documentation
• Knowledge of ISO 27001, NIST or data protection (GDPR) is an advantage
