Brightwater Recruitment is partnering with a leading financial services and insurance organisation in Dublin to recruit a Cyber Threat Hunter. You will proactively identify threats, investigate anomalies and translate findings into practical improvements for threat visibility and defense.

Competenze

• Ideally, a relevant qualification and at least five years' experience in cyber security, information security, security operations, threat hunting, incident response or a closely related discipline.
• Hands‑on experience conducting threat hunts, developing hypotheses and investigating activity across multiple sources.

Mansioni

• Proactively conduct threat hunts across enterprise systems, networks, endpoints, identities and security environments.
• Develop and test hunting hypotheses informed by threat intelligence, adversary behaviours, attack techniques and emerging threats.
• Investigate suspicious or anomalous activity that may not have triggered conventional security alerts.
• Analyse information from multiple sources to identify patterns, indicators and behaviours associated with malicious activity.
• Identify previously undetected threats, attacker techniques and weaknesses in existing security controls.
• Translate hunting findings into actionable recommendations and support improvements to threat detection capabilities.
• Collaborate with Incident Response and Threat Intelligence teams to investigate emerging threats and strengthen operational readiness.
• Identify gaps in security logging, visibility and monitoring, recommending improvements where appropriate.
